3 day Adventure

If you are just traveling through and would like to spice up your visit. Three days of bear photography will surely make it a trip to remember.

Day 1: morning pickup at any major destination in the country, transfer to the hotel. First eveningof bear photography/ watching in one of the hides.

Dinner.

Day 2: Pickup in the hotel before dawn, guided morning photo session in the bear hide. Breakfast.

Landscape/ cave photography, bear tracking,visit of a den site.

Lunch, rest.

Guided evening photo session in the hide.

Dinner.

Day 3: Pickup in the hotel before dawn, guided morning photo session in the bear hide. Breakfast.

Transfer to any of the major destinations in the country. (With tons of great bear pictures :) )

5 day Adventure

Meet the bears, hike the wild forests and endless landscapes that they call home. Become their neighbour for a week.

Day 1

 

  • Pickup at any major destination in the country.

  • Sunrise landscape shoot 

  • Breakfast

  • Trekking through a scenic gorge. Waterfall, stream, flora photography.

  • Lunch and transfer to the hotel

  • Quick unpacking and transfer to the bear hide.

  • Bear watching/ photography until sundown.

  • Transfer back to the hotel.

  • Dinner

Day 2

  • Pickup at the hotel 

  • Sunrise landscape shoot, early morning forest and flora photography.

  • Breakfast.

  • Trekking through Rakov Škocjan gorge. River, landscape, cave photography.

  • Lunch

  • Transfer to the hotel short rest.

  • Evening bear photography, until sundown.

  • Transfer back to the hotel.

  • Dinner

Day 3

 

  • Pickup at the hotel

  • Landscape photography on mount Snežnik, breathtaking vistas of the neverending Dinaric foests, visit to a forest reserve and landscape photography at some amzing geological structures.

  • Lunch

  • Evening bear photography

  • Back to the hotel.

  • Dinner

Day 4

 

  • Pickup at the hotel

  • Sunrise landscape shoot at a high moors of Bloke. River, landscape, flora.

  • Breakfast.

  • Visit to Križna water cave. Amazing cave photography.

  • Lunch

  • Evening bear photography

  • Back to the hotel.

  • Dinner

Day 5

 

  • Pickup at the hotel

  • Early morning bear photography

  • Back to the hotel, packing

  • Breakfast/ brunch

  • Transfer to any major destination in the country.

7 day Adventure

Tailor made for the advanced photographer who wants to get to know the bears in depth. Witness the amazing behaviour and tuch the sole of the wild.

Day 1:

 

  • pickup at the airport

  • transfer to the hotel

  • short intro about behaving around bears and what to expect

  • afternoon photo session in the hides

  • dinner

Day 2:

 

  • pickup at the hotel before sunrise

  • transfer to the hide

  • morning photo session (untill app. 9.00 or untill the bear leaves :) )

  • return to the hotel, breakfast

  • visit a beautiful river valley nearby, landscape, river, cave photography.

  • a lecture about bears, their ecology, research efforts in Slovenia. By biologist Jasna Mladenovič.

  • lunch

  • rest

  • at app. 16.00 evening bear photo session (untill nightfall)

  • transfer back to the hotel

  • dinner

Day 3:

 

  • pickup at the hotel before sunrise

  • transfer to the hide

  • morning photo session (untill app. 9.00)

  • return to the hotel, breakfast

  • waterfall photography (trekking through a gorge with beautiful scenery. Trekking route can be adjusted according to the fitness level of participants)

  • lunch

  • rest

  • at app. 16.00 evening bear photo session (untill nightfall)

  • transfer back to the hotel

  • dinner

Day 4:

 

  • pickup at the hotel before sunrise

  • transfer to the hide

  • morning photo session (untill app. 9.00)

  • return to the hotel, breakfast

  • Proteus vivarium and Predjama castle tour.

  • lunch

  • rest (if 4h in the cave rest is going to be short)

  • at app. 16.00 evening bear photo session (untill nightfall)

  • transfer back to the hotel

  • dinner

Day 5:

 

  • pickup at the hotel before sunrise

  • transfer to the hide

  • morning photo session (untill app. 9.00)

  • return to the hotel, breakfast

  • landscape photography around mount Snežnik, one of the wildest primeeval forests in Slovenia. Possibility of tracking wolf, lynx, bear. Visit and photography of a forest reserve.

  • lunch

  • rest

  • at app. 16.00 evening bear photo session (untill nightfall)

  • transfer back to the hotel

  • dinner

Day 6:

 

  • pickup at the hotel before sunrise

  • transfer to the hide

  • morning photo session (untill app. 9.00)

  • return to the hotel, breakfast

  • visit to one of the most beautiful caves in Slovenia. Cave photography. (option of a 1h or 4h guided tour. It is a watercave so the 4h tour is by boat!)

  • lunch

  • rest

  • at app. 16.00 evening bear photo session (untill nightfall)

  • transfer back to the hotel

  • dinner

 

Day 7:

 

  • pickup at the hotel before sunrise

  • transfer to the hide

  • morning photo session (untill app. 9.00)

  • return to the hotel, breakfast

  • packing for return tripp

  • drive to Ljubljana (short visit of the city and lunch)

  • transfer to any major departure destination
